Landon is saying...
1. Uh oh!
2. Rara

Landon is signing...
1. All done

Landon is...
1. walking everywhere now!
2. climbing on everything
3. getting into cupboards
4. learning how to build with legos

Landon has discovered the toilet!

As many of you with 1 year olds know, they get into everything. My recent challenge has been keeping Landon out of the toilet. I will be in the bathroom getting ready, and the next thing I know, he has lifted the toilet seat up and I hear splashing! Today he put his hand in the toilet along with a couple other items. I found him putting a blow pop in there and then playing drums using his drumstick in the toilet! I wish they had a lock on the toilet seats (I've now discovered easier to just keep the door to the bathroom shut!)!!! I have found being home has it's challenges, but I love having these moments, even when frustrating, with my little boy.

Afternoon Relaxing!

Today was a very relaxing Sunday afternoon! Landon took a 3 hour nap and then woke up and played with Aunt Rara...which he is now saying! So cute! He started playing with this green ball and it was cracking me up which led to all these pictures!

Abusing my child??

Friday night I was on my way to get my van from Firestone with my mom! Landon has just woken up from his nap. He had pulled his socks off in his crib while he had been sleeping. My mom brought him out to the car when we both realized he didn't have socks. We both thought..."We are just picking up the van...not a big deal." On my way home I realized I didn't have any whole milk, so I thought I would stop by WalMart quickly. Landon and I ran in to the store...it was a cold day but not terrible. We were about to leave and I decided to stop at the redbox before I left. As I was looking for a movie, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and there was a man...He asked, "Does this kid have shoes and socks?" I was so caught off guard, I answered, "I lost them." He started to say something else in a rude manner, so I cut him off and politely responded, "You know it really is none of your business." He then preceded to yell at me, "It is my business...You are abusing this child!" I responded, "Well, then turn me in," and then turned around. He walked away yelling, "Yeah sure get your movie when you don't even have enough money to buy your kid shoes and socks!" Needless to say, I started bawling. I was for the first time humiliated as a mother. I can laugh about it now, but I did cry most of Friday night! It did make me realize that I need to look out for other mothers being harassed by weirdos!
Above are some pictures of our abused child from that evening...I bought him those Sponge Bob Squarepant PJ's while we were at Wal-Mart!

Our Day with Hallie & Harper!

It's so great having Katie now on Fridays, because our kids get to play! We had our first play date of the winter with Ashley's kids, Julie's kids, Jen's Claire, and Katie's girls! It is so nice that the church has a play place and the kids all love it! It really helps them all take great naps in the afternoon! HA! After our play date, Katie, Hallie and Harper came over and I captured our children being engrossed in Elmo!

Our

Sleepover with Ashley & all the boys!

We (Landon & Lisa) just recently had a sleepover with Ashley, Clayton, Ryk and Thayer! It was very fun, but quickly reminded me what it is like to have a newborn again!! Landon and the boys had fun playing and I was truly thankful for the company while Ryan was out of town. Ashley and I were very quick to regret staying up until 3:30AM when Thayer didn't want to sleep after that...and Ryk woke up at 6:30! Although we were sleep deprived...we still had a lot of fun!

Our trip to Target..

This last Monday night we had quite the event at Target. Ryan needed a few things for his trip this week, so we picked those items up. Landon had a poopy diaper, so I took him to the bathroom to change him while Ryan checked out! I couldn't believe it...he was a mess poop clear down his leg up his back... even ended up in his hair by the time we had him all changed. I was changing him in the bathroom when I realized I didn't have extra pants! It was a mess...the temperature outside was
-10!! SO I met Ryan outside...he decided to zip Landon up in his coat and we braved the weather! I was very embarrassed because I was sure everyone was thinking, "What are those people doing having their child out without any pants on in sub zero weather?" Another exciting adventure that comes with having a one year old!!

Landon is...

Landon is learning more sign language! He can now sign:
1. milk
2. Thank-you
Landon is learning his body parts! He now knows:
1. nose
2. feet
Landon is starting to prefer walking to crawling! He is becoming very busy and tried crawling out of his crib the other night!

The 26th with The Kirkpatricks!

Landon was very curious about Kirby (Nathan & Chrissie's dog) sleeping under all the wrapping paper!

Gift from Grandpa & Grandma Kirkpatrick!! SO CUTE!!

The Kirkpatricks were able to make it down and celebrate with us on the 26th! It was so nice of my grandparents to allow us all to stay in there house so that we could be together! We had a Mexcian fiesta! As you can tell from Kirby... we were all worn out by the end of the night!

Christms night 2009

We spend Christmas night with Mimi and Papa! They spoiled Landon with an Encore Elmo! He loves this toy. I'm pretty amazed by it as well!

Landon loved sitting in the recliner we bought for Hallie!

Uncle Jon, Aunt Katie & Hallie bought Landon a dump truck with blocks for Christmas!

Aunt Sara made Landon a fun mirror for Christmas!

Hallie hanging out in her chair!

Barn yard fun from Mimi and Papa!

Landon just couldn't wait to open presents!

We had a great time hanging out with the family! Great Grandpa Clate was able to join us which was such a blessing! We all were truly glad that he was able to be with us this Christmas season! We were so close to losing him this last year! It is apparent that God has more planned for his life! We are so thankful for the example he provides for us all! Christmas wouldn't have been the same without him!

Christmas Day 2009

Christmas Day we went over to Uncle Kelly and Aunt Teri's house for Landon's first experience of sledding. He wasn't sure what to think. His facial expression stayed just about like this the whole way down the hill! He didn't make a noise... maybe he will like it more next year!

Christmas Eve 2009

We were at Grandma and Grandpa White's house for Christmas Eve!! We all attended Christmas Eve service before dinner. It really started the Christmas season out with our minds on that little baby...Jesus...rather than all the gifts!

Hallie and Landon have grown to LOVE each other!

Opening presents from Great Grandma & Great Grandpa White!!
