Swimming Lessons

Landon did swimming lessons 2 weeks ago. He loved them for the most part. They were just teaching the basics and he wasn't very interested in putting his head in the water. I do think they helped though, because the next week we went swimming at Mary's and he finally had enough courage to swim by himself with his life jacket. It was very cute because he was so proud of himself.

Updates on the boys!

I have been feeling really guilty as I haven't been able to update my blog for a long time. A lot has been happening. I have been very busy as I had to take my recertification exam just last week. The boys have been busy growing and learning all sorts of new things. They have been getting special time with daddy since I'm studying and he isn't working yet. He is loving every second that he gets to spend with them...gives him a good perspective on staying home! Here are some updates... Landon Landon is really learning and saying funny things daily. Just yesterday, Jude fell and crashed his face. I thought Jude was being a little dramatic, so I held him and kind of went on doing my work. Landon came into the kitchen to see what was going on, and he said, "Mom, why is there blood." I told him there wasn't, and then looked again at Jude and he had blood all over his mouth. (That will show me to be a little more sympathetic next time). Jude was pretty hysterical, so Landon came back into the kitchen and yelled, "This is crazy! What is happening?" I couldn't help but laugh out loud. He is obsessed with a video game. I preferred that he never play them, but daddy thought it would be fun. On a daily basis, he will randomly bring up castle crashers to me. He has a new friend named Sid that lives next door. It has been great getting to know our neighbors, and letting the boys play. Landon is definitely starting to look older. I was just looking at pictures from a year ago, and I can't believe how much he has changed. He is such a joy and we love having this little man around. Jude Jude just had his 15 month check up and he is right on target. He was 60% for height and 65% for weight. He finally decided to walk just before he turned 15 months. That is now his preferred mode of transportation. It's so funny to watch a new walker, they look slightly drunk. He is very emotional and likes to tell us when he is upset. He will babble and shake his finger at me. I left him with my cousin, Rachel, yesterday, and he started to show me a pout face and next thing you knew, he slammed his head down on the high chair. He lets us know if he doesn't like what we are doing. He is going through his separation anxiety phase. I love that he loves Ryan and I...I'm getting a little worried he is starting to favor Ryan since he's home with them more! Once again we are so thankful for these boys! I am also thankful for a husband who continues to lead me. He has been such a rock as we have been going through a transition in our life.
