Landon's 3rd Birthday Party!

We had a Cars 2 birthday party! Landon picked out the theme! Ryan and I were going to attempt a super hero birthday party, but we had too many complex ideas...so we decided to wait on that idea. It was so nice because I was able to stain the floors in the basement, so we were able to have the party downstairs!! Landon was so spoiled by everyone! Ryan and I bought him his first bike...pretty fun to get him something like that. Now all we have to do is work on his pedaling skills!

He was very excited to have his cake and have everyone sing to him. We've been talking about his birthday for weeks, and we had quite a few birthday parties before his. He kept thinking that it should be his party. So his smile was so sweet when everyone was singing to him!!! Major bummer is that I think he might be afraid of candles now. He was trying to blow his candles out and got a little too close and burnt his lip!! He refused to blow the rest of the candles out! Pretty funny, but I felt bad for him.

Jude is 8 1/2 months old and Landon is 3!!!

A little Jude update! He is getting to be quite the little man! He is clapping and talking continuously. We love the little person he is becoming! He is such a happy baby and laughs a lot! He still only says "dada" and "baba." I'm hoping for mama pretty soon, but I will stay content as long as he remains a mommy's boy! He is starting to move around by rolling, but hasn't started crawling. I'm thankful for that, because I know once he starts moving I will be outnumbered! His funniest trick is how he sucks on his binkie. He puts the bottom part in his mouth and chews/sucks on it! It's hilarious! We feel so blessed to have him, and I couldn't be more grateful for these little men!

Landon is turning 3 this Wednesday! I can't believe that is happening! I was thinking back to the day I found out I was pregnant with him. I remember being so excited, yet nervous...and now he's 3!! He has become quite the talker. He is saying new phrases all the time. Instead of saying he doesn't want something, he says, "I can't like that." Cracks us up. Here's some more examples:

-"I love you too much."

-"Sure"

-"That was crazy!" (papa Bruce inspired that one)

-"That's dangerous."

The other day we were talking and he said, "mommy can we get a different baby." Not sure what Jude did to deserve that. He loves music especially "Baby" by Justin Bieber and "Enchanted" by Taylor Swift. We aren't sure if we should be concerned?

His favorite toys are anything Cars related, garbage trucks, dump trucks, John deere tractors, and bulldozers! It's funny to watch his imagination at work. We love listening to him talk while he's playing.

Halloween 2011

We took the boys trick or treating this year. We stopped by all the family's houses! It was fun to see Landon get the hang of going to the door and getting goodies. He was very spoiled by everyone! I'm a little worried he's going to think when he gets older he will get large bags of candy from every house!

Love, love, love the fall festival at church. It does seem to get crazier as Landon gets older. I think Ryan and I spent most of the night trying to track him down as he ran from one activity to the next. He kept cutting in line..he was having a difficult time understanding taking turns. It's funny what you have to learn when you are growing up. Being an adult, you forget how little things like that are quite the task for an almost 3 year old!

Every year we make our way to the apple orchard in Cambridge! It's always so much fun! It's crazy to see how big the Vanderpool gang is becoming! The new babies have been such a joy!! So excited to see how God continues to bless!
